Premium grade customizable WPC door solutions engineered specifically for high moisture resistance and thermal stability.
Colombia, characterized by its complex geography and extreme diversity of thermal floors, presents a unique set of challenges for construction materials. From the high-humidity coastal zones of Barranquilla and Cartagena to the dense, high-altitude urban centers of Bogotá and Medellín, interior structural elements are constantly subjected to fluctuating atmospheric conditions.
Historically, natural timber and conventional MDF doors have dominated Colombian construction. However, developers frequently encounter systematic failures, including wood warping, thermal expansion, moisture absorption leading to structural rot, and relentless termite infestations. As modern architecture pivots toward high-performance, maintenance-free materials, PVC Veneered WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) doors have emerged as the absolute gold standard for structural longevity and environmental resilience in Latin American projects.
By merging the high mechanical strength of natural wood fiber with the chemical inertness of thermopolymers, WPC doors provide an absolute vapor barrier and dimensional stability that outperforms conventional wood derivatives by over 400%.
Traditional wood fibers swell up to 10% in width under 80%+ relative humidity. Larsom WPC maintains less than 0.5% dimensional change in prolonged water immersion tests.
Our formulation is highly resistant to wood-boring insects, molds, and termites, which are prevalent throughout tropical Colombia.
Conforms to global B1 fire safety classifications, offering self-extinguishing traits crucial for commercial high-rise buildings in Bogotá.

A comprehensive technical exploration of polymer science, manufacturing methodologies, and construction integration.
Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) represents a technological convergence of organic and synthetic polymers. The structural base of Larsom WPC doors consists of ultra-fine wood powder (derived from industrial wood processing offcuts) combined with premium grade PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resins. The mixture is homogenized at high temperatures and pressurized within an advanced extrusion line.
Our formulation utilizes a precise ratio: roughly 60% wood fiber, 30% PVC resin, and 10% chemical additives (including foaming agents, stabilizers, coupling agents, and pigments). This balance ensures that the material retains the structural density and warmth of wood, while acquiring the hydrophobic benefits of thermoplastic polymers.
A WPC door's performance is heavily reliant on its outer layer. Larsom uses a proprietary PUR (Polyurethane Hot Melt) hot-lamination process to bond premium wood-grain or solid-color PVC films onto the WPC substrate. Unlike cold glues that crack under Colombian thermal cycles, our PUR lamination produces an irreversible cross-linking chemical reaction when exposed to ambient humidity, creating an unbreakable bond that withstands temperatures up to 120°C and down to -40°C.

A streamlined custom manufacturing program designed to navigate tariffs, sea freight, and quality inspection.
We manage complex sea freight routing from major export ports in China (Ningbo, Shanghai) directly to Buenaventura (Pacific access for Bogotá and Cali) or Cartagena (Atlantic access for northern Colombia). Our export documentation matches DIAN customs clearance requirements perfectly, ensuring zero-delay processing.
Unlike standard manufacturers, Larsom handles architectural modifications on demand. If your project in Colombia requires non-standard heights (e.g., 2.3-meter interior doors for high-end boutique hotels), or specific acoustic core densities, our engineers will design custom moulds and supply precise engineering drawings.
Every container leaving our 16,000 sqm plant undergoes high-precision tests for cross-tensile bonding, visual surface defects, and structural rigidity. We pack all doors in heavy-duty multi-layer corrugated cardboard boxes with protective corner guards to withstand long-distance maritime transit.
